Renault Clio RS in Malaysia

Having oppurtunity to shoot the soon-to-launch sports car, Renault Clio RS. I use the term sport car because it was price at RM210k. It is the target killer for Golf GTi and Mini. The shots took place at Autodetailer's garage where Darren from Alphanatics is our instructor. He is nice guy and try his very best to share with us how to shoot automobile. He said every car has its language, try talk to it before you start. Yeah man! That's how a car enthusiast talk :)

 

This chili red hot Clio was just after perfect detailing jobs. That's my hobby while ago before I pick up the camera. I might hold a dual-action polisher now and blog about car wax. I find this hot hatch is pretty similar to my car – Proton Savvy. Savvy is using the 1.2 liter engine which also belongs to Clio series. It has little European sleek style outlook, however Proton unsuccessful to market it well at England. Recently a YouTube amaze me that 1.2 liter engine can do 0-60km/h in 1 second :0 The trick is: Hold your second gear and rev the engine to 3000 rpm, let go the clutch and it will fly. Any  taker here?

 

The Clio RS is featured with Renault F1 technologies such as air extractor, diffuser, brake cooler and few others. A 200 horse power stock compact car, it would be very fun to drive race it. Not forget to mention Clio’s big brother Megane is in garage as well. I like its fierce black colour look. Price at RM230K with 230hp from 2.0 Turbo engine :0

PS3 Malaysia Official Launch

PS3 is not new to us. The unofficial version has been sold more than a year here. However, the official version still got its attraction especially the 80GB built-in storage and network access to PlayStation Online. Sony Malaysia has really push the launching event to extreme - 24 hours gaming marathon, game girls contest, buyer discount, free play, goodies... The first owner is a girl who has queued for 40 hours since Thursday night!!! Who say chicks don't play game?? I really salute the guy who won the 24hrs game marathon, really no need to sleep. He is enjoying PS3 on a 42" LCD TV now :)

AirAsia Academy

Happen to stop by AirAsia Academy after work. The building recently has gone for expansion. It's the place where all beautiful girls train to become cabin crews. Not to forget pilots got their simulator training as well. AirAsia Academy is national aviation factory. Ain't you glad?

Sony AMC August Seminar

The excitement of waiting finally end. The Sony AMC August seminar was held today at Le Meridein Hotel. As usual, it's FREE for Sony Alpha user!! The event was posted at forum for pre-registration and all seats were reserved in just 3 days! What man! The funny thing is, no one knows the seminar details until last minute :)

As sneak preview by George, the Sony AMC person in charge (actually he is the product manager), there will be few important announcements during the seminar. All rumors and speculation link up with A900 full frame SLR launching or F58 flashgun release date. Hahaha.. It didn't happen here but what actual announced will benefit AMC most.

Let's see...

1. Every seminar participant will get a Alpha Survival Kit (retail price RM599) for FREE!!! Although it just some merchandises and accessories like bag, t-shirt, watch and etc. It show how sincere Sony to keep the user happy.

2. Aphanatics forum would be our new home and AMC.com.my is converting to knowledge database. This is a good move to open the forum to more user and expand our teriroty and poisons :) Same time new moderators were introduced to all. They are all AMC forum pioneers by the way. 100% support.

3. Sony will sponsor RM1000 monthly to Alphanatics as club fund. The best thing is we can snow ball it and decide what to do with the fund. Can I suggest to buy a white lense and loan to member??? (in my dream) Truly can't find anything like this in today world. This is not a hoax. Believe it.

4. The biggest surprise is - Malaysia will be the host of world 1st ever Alpha Convention!!!! And it happen in October!!! World class speakers are coming down to give free talk for 3 days!!! Who is reading this please go out and grab your alpha SLR now :)

I feel very energetic with the Sony AMC effort in expanding its market share and same time practicing good consumer service. The user is final winner. Although I am just a ordinary customer, but feel like doing MLM and want to recruit more member to join us :) Not to forget today seminar speaker were Ted Adnan and Darren Chang. Both are very experience in portraiture and automotive photography respectively. The talk covered basic to intermediate skill level, now everyone can shoot.
